TORN PAPER COLLAGE SELF PORTRAITS

A portrait of each student was taken and printed out in gray scale. Students mixed paint and created a spectrum gray scale using black and white paint. Students placed portraits under a piece of plexiglass and secured image. Students tore pieces from gray scale spectrum and glued face down on plexiglass recreating face. Students were working in reverse so they did not see the final results until the portrait was removed. This was a challanging but rewarding project.
